 Fulford Dunderry House is a waterfront property
located on 1.6 acres of gently sloping land in Fulford, Salt Spring
Island. The house and property face southwest and consequently
enjoy a warm microclimate. Most of the views from the 1200 sq.
ft. bungalow look over the protected waters of Fulford Bay to the
base of Mount Tuam.
The vegetable and house gardens are fenced to protect them from
the local deer. The garden also boasts a wide variety of fruit
and nut trees, flowerbeds, and the foundation of a small vineyard.
A seasonal creek runs down to the sea at the far end of the property
through outcroppings of sandstone. An artesian spring provides
water for the gardens. Mature cedar and Douglas fir trees line
the boundaries. Laurel and Cedar hedges screen the property from
the road.
There is a six person hot tub in the glass sided gazebo with panoramic
views of FUlford Bay. For convenience an outside shower is located
adjacent to the
hot tub.
An open concept living, dining, and kitchen area with glass sliding
doors opens onto a covered balcony running the length of the house.
The house is tastefully furnished with period antiques. For your reading pleasure
the living room has an eclectic library and a wood-burning stove.
The home entertainment center features both a satellite TV with a VCR/DVD player
and a stereo with a CD player and a radio. There is a fully equipped kitchen
and
an outdoor barbeque.
There are two bedrooms on the upper floor. The master bedroom has a queen sized
bed with an en suite bathroom and the second bedroom has two single beds and
a 4 piece bath.
Passing through a green dutch door, a private entrance leads to our
self-contained suite. We have a fully equipped kitchen with a comfortable
eating area. The living area has a sofa and chair, with a satellite
TV system. There is a small work station for writing or working on
your laptop computer. A double bed has a panoramic view of the garden
and harbour. A 4 piece bath completes this private suite.
We are pleased to let you know that we now have our Pump House ready
for guests. This self contained unit with a large deck has one double
bed and a single bed. It has a two burner stove and small fridge.
It also has a shower and a composting toilet just off the main suite.
It is pet friendly for $25.00 per night but reservations must be
made ahead of time for your 4 legged friends.
